  • Raku turned out to be one of those places that got me saying "holy hellfire s, Yelp, thanks for letting me know!" As a fan of our local Yu Me Ya Sake House, Raku was already on the radar. Our Sat night dinner confirmed the best of my expectations. Two items in the surprisingly f'n good category were: - The fried and cold tofu. Who could imagine, especially with cold tofu, that something could be so flavorful? (Who could imagine that I'd even eat tofu when the meat menu was so lengthy?) - The Kobe beef tendon. Our server warned that it's "slimy." It's not what I'd anticipated, after having tendon in pho and tweaking various tendons in my body. Consistency of butter, and an incredibly rich bordering-on-foie-gras flavor... wow! Our server was very gracious and helpful with recommendations. Even though it's in a strip mall, the interior is beautiful. There will be another trip from the Strip there on my next Vegas excursion.
