My wedding, the BIG day that I have waited 33 years to say YES to. My soon to be sister in law introduced me to Kaira's as she had bought her dress here - she raved about it and on first visit we were thrilled! I found my dress, the price was right and I was a happy bride.
The owner was polite and helped me with everything on my first visit, she let me know my dress could be "rushed" to come in three months from then and told me the day to call to follow up. When I called on them on the designated day I was informed my dress was slated to come in AFTER my wedding and to their credit it was an error and was resolved verbally about 48 hours later.
My fitting was a disaster - when I originally tried on the dress I had requested changes be made with the owner (a new sleeve) and she informed me it was "no problem" only when it came time to make the changes it was a problem - the sleeve was never ordered and it was apparently my fault. After being told it was "very expensive" by the owner (again) it was resolved when I told her plainly that this was what I wanted, spare no expense and let's make it happen.
Today I went to pick up my dress - I was so happy! The seamstress who did the alterations is FANTASTIC! I was simply delighted. After thinking my balance was pain in full (over $1300 which was reasonable in my mind) an associate asked me if I had PURCHASED a garment bag to take the dress home in! As a former pageant girl this was so obnoxious that they would not include a $10 bag with a $1300 dress? Even better - if there is an extra charge let your bride know in the beginning - after all was said and done I ran my credit card THREE TIMES!
The resolve I have is that I have my wedding dress, it is splendid although I would save myself the headache and NEVER shop there again.
