  • 56 West is a cute, slightly trendy burger joint in Lakewood that would be much better if they'd just learn not to overcook the meat. Both my husband's burger and my ahi were cooked way too long tonight. The names of the menu items are more than a little twee, but the combinations are tasty and clever. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the dining room is pleasant and quiet. It's worth noting that they serve only beer, not wine. Though it has some limitations, 56 West is a decent place to grab a sandwich.
