This Jerry Antal guy is a COMPLETE JOKE... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE A MAJOR RISK....
Jerry operates as a independent lender for a LLC he established called "American Home Save". Jerry was referred to my fiance through a client of hers. My girlfriend contacted jerry to begin the home buying process and he gave her no issues however she needed to add myself on the home loan application due to her being a 1099 employee and not a W2 employee. I reached out to this guy, sent him over everything he asked for.
Neither my fiance or i have purchased a home before. So obviously we have questions. I send everything over to this guy then he tells me he meeds my credit card info but doesnt black and white tell me why. THREE TIMES I ask the guy "Are you charging me to pull a credit report? And if so, HOW MUCH?".... 3 times he beats around the bush and says, "david you just need to let me do my job you are making this hard". I then call the man upset and angry and have to yell at him asking my same two questions again, FINALLY, he answers, i hang up, send him my card info now that we are clear.
Over the next few days he is telling me he will run everything and hear back from the bank. So he tells me ill call you in 25 minutes, i dont hear from the guy for 8 hours.
A couple days later we are waiting for some info to come back from the bank that he said would take 24 hours. So roughly 48 hours later of not hearing from him, i call him. He answers and says yeah it just came to my email inbox a few mins ago, im on the road, ill give you a call in the next hour. I dont hear back from the guy at all until i send him a text telling him i really dislike his response time.
So now i have major red flags with this guy. I then begin questioning who the hell this guy is in my own mind, so naturally i start doing research on him.... i search for "American Home Save" he does not have a website for his business at all... in 2018? Thats a major red flag. He has zero online presence. No linkedin, nothing on any home mortgage lender listing sites. Hes not on social media at all. There is nothing. So then i google his name "Jerry Antal" and here is where it gets good. Jerry is listed on Ripoffreport.com with a complaint stating how he scammed a man out of $2450 and after the deal with the supposed bank fell through, jerry stopped responding to the guy and kept his money. Then there are TWO (2) negative reviews both right along the same lines of jerry scamming them out of money and jerry disappearing.
So now, i finally talk to this guy and get him on the phone. I explain that #1 i have a real problem with the lack of response or communication. #2, i question him about the no website thing in which he gets extremely defensive and starts saying things like "my reputation speaks for itself, ive helped 100's of people, blah blah blah"..... then i ask him, "how do you get paid in all of this?!"..... again he gets EXTREMELY defensive and says dont worry about how i get paid, thats none of your business blah blah blah....
Now i am 100% uncomfortable with doing any further business with the guy, so i tell him i am not proceeding with him and i am taking my business elsewhere which he responds "good please do!" And i hung up on him......
This guy is a major red flag. I wouldnt touch him with a 10 ft pole or give this guy any of your financial information. This guy is a complete joke of a businessman.
So after this all happens, the guy starts CONTINUALLY calling my fiance. For 3 days now. She has not answered at all. Yet the guy keeps calling. In fact he called her tonight at 8:38 pm..... i send the guy a text telling him that he needs to stop reaching out to her, that we have already discussed that we are not continuing with him and have begun speaking to another lender.
At 12:15 am i get a text from a random phone number from michigan saying "yo, not a wrong number, go f#%k yourself"..... i google the number, and its registered to a JON ANTAL..... not sure if this is Jerry, or a father/brother but i remember when jerry and i first spoke, he told me he was from Michigan.... This is the type of stuff you will deal with....
I ultimately texted jerry and the random number and said if either contact myself or my fiance again, the police would be involved for harassment.
STAY FAR AWAY!!!!
