| - Another swing and a miss in my search for a reliable Las Vegas State Farm agent. Let's get their biggest fail out of the way first: They don't take appointments. Yep, you read that right. Their policy is walk-ins only because they're "too busy" (their words!) to take appointments. What is the point of a State Farm branch that is run like a factory and doesn't care about basic customer service? No clue, but that's this agent.
Now, I wish I had been told about their no-appointment policy upon my initial call to this agency, as it would have saved me a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, the first time I called in, this agency treated me to another epic fail. I needed to resolve a problem with my existing policy and Diana actually picked up, but it was very clear she wanted me off the phone as soon as possible.
Diana made three errors in just this first, brief telephone conversation: 1) She insisted I had to call a central State Farm department (this was not true, according to the rep at that State Farm department); 2) she told me the wrong department that I was supposed to talk to; and 3) to top it off, she gave me the wrong number for that wrong department.
This was an especially egregious combination of errors since this led to me being connected to the wrong department, then asking for another but still wrong department, and then being transferred around and around within State Farm's phone systems until they were able to figure out which department Diana actually meant, only to have an agent there tell me that Diana was wrong to have me call.
It was after this that I called back into Diana's office. A different agent picked up, but he, too, clearly wanted me off the phone as soon as possible. That's when I asked to set up an appointment and was told they don't do appointments because they're "too busy".
Diana, you've thoroughly earned this 1* rating.
