  • Called Bee Hive for my elderly aunt. Had bees coming out of holes in her foam roof. Ray came out a few hours later and sprayed. He was there less than ten minutes and charged $180. He said the bees were sand bees and when I showed him where I tried to ineffectively seal up the hole, he said they can be tough. He said he treated the roof and any bees that touch the roof would die. I asked how long that would last and he said until the next big rain. No big rain and the bees returned a week later. I called Ray and he said he'd come back out for $120. I said "What happened to treating the whole roof and it lasting until the next rain?" He said he sprayed the whole roof as a favor. When I refused to pay any additional funds, he said he would take care of the problem (I'm assuming for free). We couldn't get a schedule together so I went to Home Depot and bought some flying insect spray. The bees are gone now. I should probably have done that first and saved my aunt $170.
