WARNING: I bought the massage through Groupon but apparently it doesn't include tax so i had to pay an extra $12. I've never had to pay extra for tax before. Found it super sketchy.
Atmosphere 2/5: It's a tiny house near Kipling station which was a bit strange but it's been renovated so the inside is quite cute. However the massage tables are poor quality. My partner and I had a couples massage and I could hear the table cracking under his weight (150lbs) which was annoying as I was trying to relax. They also weren't very comfortable to lie on as the padding was very thin.
Service: The employees were friendly but the actual massages were hit or miss. They started by using these warm packets (I think its wax) which was very pleasant but my masseuse was not very good. Even though I specifically told her not to do my legs or arms and repeatedly asked her to focus on my back she didn't. Also, although its very obvious where the knots are on my back, she didn't focus on them and went all over the place. The pressure was also way too light, it felt more like I was being petted.
My partner on the other hand, had an amazing masseuse. He was really impressed and said he actually preferred her to the masseuse he had at Old Mill. When my masseuse left the room to grab hot towels, his came over to me for a few minutes and o boy could I feel the difference! The 5 minutes she spent on me were more helpful than the 55 min I had with mine.
They use warm towels to clean off the oil when you're finished which I loved.
