They were extremely thorough. It was very clear upfront as to what they do and don't cover. We were walked around and shown all of the action items and their final report was extremely helpful. It was convenient that they also do termite inspection and could do everything at once. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and they were at the home about 2.5 hours. My realtor and I arrived at the end of their inspection and it took about an hour to do the walk through of action items.
**I am a first time home buyer. I had to ask them to please slow down. I think this is normal as my relator was there and they do this day in and day out. With the request he did slow down and break out the explanation a bit more. He would point to the item to make sure I could also see what he was referencing. Make sure everyone has a copy of the action report so they can follow along.
Also, the final report was very helpful as a first time home buyer. Each item is given a definition and what the physical parts should be and how they operate. Then they break down what they do and don't check, how mine is or is not functioning properly and, if not functioning properly, an action item. For some items they give general maintenance suggestions.
