| - I rarely give 5-stars unless something blows my socks off, and veterinarians don't usually blow my skirt, but given the nature of the industry and the ridiculous difficulty there is in finding a good, economical vet, this could go 5.
I went to this vet because of the review it was given here on Yelp. I've only had one visit with them so far, but I was actually pretty surprised from the get-go. The grounds and the building are very nice. The staff is friendly, and the place is very clean. I was offered coffee and water, and I honestly started to get worried that all the "customer service" was going to come at a price. It did not. It was genuine hospitality.
The vet actually didn't know what was wrong with my dog's foot, and of course that usually opens the door for "it could be anything....let the testing begin! CHA-CHING!" But it didn't. Given the symptoms, I found the Doctor's course of action was natural, logical, and probably most importantly....practical: Antibiotics and pain medication, anti-inflammatories in a week, and if there's no improvement, an X-ray would be needed to treat further. Very reasonable...and affordable.
I expected my bill to be much higher than it was, but I was happy with the breakdown of charges given on my receipt. Both the cost of the medication and the services provided in-house were reasonable compared to others in the industry. It has only been one visit, but usually it's that first diagnosis that stings. We didn't have that reaction here.
