We have shopped at Winco locations for years but it looks like this store is over zealous in their "Loss prevention / Security". Went in to pick up a comb but left the store to get my wallet when I realized that I had forgotten it in my car. As I exited the store, a young man in plain clothes appears out of nowhere and demands to see the object in my palm. I was more puzzled than anything else and opened it to show my car keys. He then says "oh, those are keys, we thought you took makeup from Aisle 4" and leaves without even apologizing. I never stopped to look at any makeup and I am not sure what made them think that I was a possible shoplifter. I went back and spoke to the store manager who confirmed that this was their "Loss prevention" and apologized but her demeanor/attitude seemed to indicate that this was standard procedure for them to stop customers at their will and whim, with a "guilty until proven innocent" attitude.
