If I could rate zero stars, I would. This is the first time Yelp has failed us dearly. Awful service (the headchef sat us?), and the menu isn't even close to what is actually served. When we finally got our appetizer, "heirloom tomatoes" really meant hothouse tomatoes. When the soup showed up about 30 minutes later it good, the salad was not. Fast forward another 45 minutes when dinner arrives: what I expected to be something along the lines of chicken scampi arrives as chicken parmesan on a bed of spaghetti and tasted like cardboard smothered in tomato paste.
I'm not one to rate low by any means, but both Yelp and Verona failed us this evening. The only thing worth coming for was the wine. I hope Sunday brunch is better, but after this scouting event, chances are I'm not going to find out.
