  • Today, my aunty and I went to this FedEx location to mail a frame to our relatives in Hawai'i. Upon walking into the store, I recognized a certain employee from my previous visits. The reason I remembered this specific employee is because she was very rude, impatient, and unprofessional towards me during my last visits. After recognizing her upon walking through the doors, I was immediately turned off because of my previous experience with her... Which goes to show that first impressions are lasting impressions! Continuing on, my aunty and I walked to the shipping area with my 26in.x26in. frame. From the shipping counter area, we could literally hear this rude employee raising her voice at a customer with a sarcastic and unpleasant tone. Absolutely horrible for customers to just feel the negative vibes coming off from an employee! To our dismay, this employee came up to my aunty and I and asked what we needed help with. Again, reiterating the negative tone in her voice and irritated facial expression toward us. I told her that I'd like to ship my frame to Hawai'i and she said, "Okay, you're looking at about $75-$80 to ship it". I said okay and waited for my turn to be helped at the counter. Before being called to the counter, one of the male employees had left a shipping label at the register where the rude employee took her spot. She looked at the shipping label that her fellow employee had accidentally left and said to him, "What is this?!" and because he was engaged with another customer, he did not answer her right away. And this ticked her off. She looked at the customers waiting in line with an annoyed face while holding up the shipping label of her coworker. She then walked over to her coworker and his customer and literally slammed the shipping label on his counter and walked back to her register with an angry and irritated expression for all to see. Again, to our dismay, of course she was the employee to help us at the counter. I placed my frame on the counter and she asked for the zip code that I wish to ship it to. I gave it to her and she continued on to measuring the frame with a measuring tape. Waiting patiently, my aunty and I watched as the employee took out some binder and flipped through the pages with her back to us. She came back to the counter and at that time my aunty said, "I will be using my employee discount as well", handing her employee card to the lady. (My aunty works for an airline company that offers a FedEx discount to their employees... Hence the reason my Aunty wanted to come with me to ship my frame). The FedEx employee took the card and typed something into her computer and said, "Okay, so YOU'RE the one who is shipping the frame and paying for it???" to my aunty. My aunty nodded. On a side note; should it matter if I or my aunty was shipping it??? The point at hand is that we wanted to ship a frame and we had a valid employee discount card at hand and that should be that! Continuing on, the FedEx employee looked at her computer, then at us and said, "Okay, the cheapest option will be $180." Baffled, my aunty and I stared at each other with the understanding that this employee just quoted us $80 while we were standing in line, but after giving her an employee discount card, she said the price was more than double! She did not even weigh my frame or anything! She just measured it and gave us attitude. That's about all she did for us. I took my frame off the counter, thanked her, and took my business elsewhere. So in short, no pun intended, this location is absolutely not recommended by me and I'm sure anyone else who has come in contact with this rude and disrespectful employee. She obviously hates her job, hates people, and has no patience for the customers of FedEx-Mall Ring Circle. If it can be avoided, I would not go to this location at all costs and will take my business elsewhere where employees are helpful and genuinely care about your business with their business! Besides, who would want to ship a glass frame with no bubble wrap or padding?! Which that employee also said they will not do for me. She is ruining the rep for this location and the employees within that store that are actually good workers. To wrap it up, don't go here unless you want your time wasted. Period.
