| - As hardware stores go, Home Depot is as good or bad as any other shitty Canadian store, with limited brands and items. However, my review isn't so much about the lackluster products but the staff and their lack of service and language skills. Every time I shopped at this store on Saint-Antoine, I have never found the primary item I was looking for and EVERY time I try to find the clowns who work there and are often seen in groups standing around talking, only to scatter when a customer approaches. When they are helping someone, it always seems to be some arsehole who has a million questions and takes up the staff's time. The last straw was when I took 30 minutes to gather up stuff and wait through the line at the cash, get only French spoken to me despite telling her I speak English, only to find that the archaic debit machine reads my credit card as if it were a bank card. It gives me two options, checking or savings, of which a credit card is neither. The ignorant pepper shrugs and says "too bad". She actually musters up some English just to ad insult to injury. My time is wasted, I am treated like some turd for not speaking french, and I end up walking out empty handed somehow feeling like I was the problem. Yeah, this fucking place is on my boycott list now.
