  • Party of 5 at 6PM on a Monday; it was good for old school steak on Fremont. The lobster bisque gets high points for being served hot. It was delicious and its a very generous serving. Salad is cold and large, but overly dressed and the choices of dressings are too limited (with the cesear not really an option for most people since it reeks of anchovies). Don't spend your money on the king crab legs - unimpressive and not worth it. Stick to the steak; filet is excellent as was the beef wellington. Solid player in a classic Fremont casino. Its nice that it is still around and its charm hasn't faded too much. Whether they can stand up to a Ruth's Chris or modern steakhouse.. no. But its all about the tradition here. Service was good - although a bit distracted for being so early in the evening.
