Terrace Cafe in all their brilliance and popularity cancelled my Mother's Day reservation. They simply sent a note to my barely used email telling me it had been cancelled. No consolation, not apology; nothing.
I get it, you're so popular that you don't need to take reservations. There will be a line of people ready to eat your food, but cancelling reservations on a customer on such an important holiday for a restaurant known for brunch is just moronic. You're creating enemies for no apparent reason.
Worst yet, when I called to talk to the hostess about it she offered no help. She said "oh, tomorrow is first come first serve." I guess you're more like a buffet than a quality establishment. Let the herd wait in line for our slop.
