While coming home from Mooresville I found I had picked up a screw in my tire. Rather then wait for the next day, I pulled into Tuffy Auto Service Center. The fellow at the front desk said they could handle it so I grabbed a seat in the lounge. After about a half hour one of the workers brought out a screw and said this was in my tire and it need to be repaired. The only problem was that he showed me a flat head screw and the one that I found in my tire had a round head. It also was worn from me driving on it and this one was not. I figured I was being taken but they had already taken the tire off of the rim so I said ok fix it. After about another half hour the fellow at the desk advised me that they had broken the tire pressure sensor and that they were fixing it and I would not have to pay for it. So, now I have over an hour, and now I'm waiting for something they broke. Long story short almost 2 hours for a flat tire repair.
But it doesn't end there. I don't drive the car the next day but two days later I do. Well, the tire pressure monitor goes off plus the screen lights up saying to check the tire pressure monitor system. So I go back to Tuffy and after an hour they tell me the sensor is working but they don't have the equipment to reset the computer. They then tell me I should take it to Honda. I now have 3 hours into a simple flat tire repair. So after leaving not very happy I call Honda and make an appointment.
Two days later after driving around with the sensor and dash light in my face just adding insult to injury I arrive at Honda. After a little over an hour the service representive calls me in and advises me that the sensor was bad and they replaced it. I'm on my way with no problems since.
My feeling on my whole experience with Tuffy Auto Center is that I got taken on the screw and tire repair, and either they didn't fix the sensor, or are so incompetent they had no idea how to fix it.
