I've lived in this neighborhood for 30 years and have tried just about every little Mexican place that has come and gone over the years.
Tortas La Presa is my go to place for the real thing. The food is so much like the good dishes I use to get in El Paso and Juarez at friends homes and the little small shops, that I fell in love with at first bite. I've had about a 1/3 of the items on the menu and nothing has disappointed me. I'll admit that I don't eat normally eat anything but muscle meat, so tripe, brains and such are out. You'll have to try those yourself.
My 3 favorite dishes are the Cubana Harancha, Shrimp Soup and the Al Pastor Marinated Pork) in Tacos or Burritos. Delicious. Tons of meat on both. The Chorizo con Papas is very good also.
I know it's good, because so many of my neighbors come here. You won't be disappointed if you know anything about good Central American food.
