| - I write this because I cannot stand the unethical ways this place conducts its business. They "force" you to write a favorable review on Yelp before they will give you a good discount for the meal. So I KNOW I cannot rely on the reviews I see on Yelp for this establishment. My own experience here has been extremely mediocre quality of dim sum, bordering on really questioning how people can give such high praises for their food! However, we do experience a slightly better quality more recently, but I still believe in second, third and fourth chances, unfortunately, and I still have to avoid going there as much as possible.
The positive things I can say about this place are:
1. Nice setting, relatively empty, probably for the same reasons I gave above for my own experience.
2. Nice enough service, for a dim sum joint anyway.
3, Easy parking and access.
Negatives(which for me are the most important factors:
1, Quality of food is at most 2 stars, on a very generous day for me.
2. Prices do not in any way reflect the food provided. I would much prefer Ping Pang Pong over here even in pricing!
3. I just can't handle the unethical business practice this place exercises.
I would like to propose that Yelp makes all reviewers an optional check box in their reviews denoting that they may be receiving any financial gains for posting their reviews. Since the owner/manager sits/stands there while he awaits your posting, you know he will see if you are posting a negative review, and by simply posting most of the review that he's looking at, and then at the end be able to check off that box can give the reviewer the comfort of some redemption of his/her soul while posting his/her "positive" review.
Meanwhile, let buyers beware.
