Thank you, thank you, thank you SPCA!!!
We adopted a puppy from here a little less than two weeks ago and she is just perfect.
Per other internet reviews (not on Yelp), there is one staff member there who is pretty callous. I get it. Working in rescue work, you get burnt out. She was rude my first visit or so but when I actually went to adopt my puppy and told her of the life she had ahead of her and how loved the puppy was, she was just as sweet as pie. I just chalk her up as a dog lover and not a people lover, and as someone who is a volunteer I can relate! It's rough to be kind when people are constantly dumping dogs off at your facility because they shed too much or got too big or whatever.
More importantly than the demeanor of the staff, the puppy we adopted was generally healthy. She has a bout of kennel cough, but that's to be expected of a shelter dog.
The volunteer staff are very helpful, and they provide as much info on the dogs as they possibly can. They can't tell you much, but they will help you with as much as they can.
