TL;DR - Fun, Safe Intro to White Water River Rafting
Let me preface this by saying the last 2 times I tried water sports, stand-up paddle boarding and floating down a lazy river, I nearly drowned. So to say I was hesitant about doing this is an understatement. Fortunately for me, this whole rafting adventure turned out to be a lot safer and more fun than I thought it would be.
For 45 Canadian bucks a head, you and your group are taken on a guided 2-3 hour trip down a water way that happens to have a bunch of class 3 and 4 white water waves. If you're expecting a constant down river adventure, you'll be sorely disappointed. Instead, its a mostly calm river with large areas of high currents in which you'll go through 4-5 big dips and waves - big enough to get your adrenaline pumping but small enough where you won't die.
The guides were all nice and friendly and ensured that everybody from the kids to adults were safe and having fun. Would recommend this to any novice rafter.
