This place doesn't serve authentic Sechuan style food or hotpot. The broths don't have the regular spices that they're supposed to have in them and they use a gas grill for each table that doesn't work so well too.
Besides the food being below average, the service is not that great, from staff and the owner. We were also charged an extra $8 for the broth, even though the waitress didn't explain that to us (and we were still charged for it even though they made a mistake and didn't apologize) and nothing was written on the menu as well... They have combination options for hotpot but the waitress clearly told use we could order individual items to put into the hot pot instead - (we obviously didn't expect to get charged extra even though we ended up spending a lot more than a combo option, which apparently they don't charge extra for the broth)
The meat that we ordered didn't look anything like the one in the photo from the menu and so when we asked to change it they also charged more for it and the meat ended up being so dry and hard and chewy that it really almost hurt your teeth to chew after 1 piece, sadly
This restaurant has a lot to improve, to be honest - most importantly is customer service.
