| - We stayed here for three nights on our most recent visit to Vegas. It is an older hotel for sure, but it is clean and well maintained. I like it for its location. It's not right on the strip, but it's close enough to be convenient and away from the crowds. If you are looking for a hip hotel with a great pool, this is not your place. What they do offer is comfortable, updated rooms and FREE parking. Their resort fee (which all hotels charge these days) is also half the cost of the strip hotels. The WIFI worked great, better than other places I have stayed. The shower was nice in the bathroom, except there is no ventilation. (Unless you open a small window in the shower) It was one of the only hotels I have been in where the water actually gets very hot, which is great. There isn't a door per se on the bathroom. It's one of those that slides over the opening. If you are there with your significant other or very close friend, it's fine, but if it's anyone other than that it can make for some awkwardness. They have a Subway (which makes the lobby/casino area smell wonderful) and a TGIFridays which are open 24 hours. I recommend signing up for their B Connected card, which is free and gets you various discounts around the hotel. Service at the front desk was ok I suppose. Nobody was overly friendly or helpful. Overall the majority of the clientele here is Asian or a bit on the trashy side. We would stay here again as the price and location are certainly right. As an added note, The Cortez Room (their higher end restaurant) is currently closed for renovations.
