Of all the Japanese steakhouses I've been to, this one is the most fun and laid back.
It is your typical Japanese steakhouse where the cooks grill in front of you and, unless you have a large group, you wind up sitting at a table with strangers. Normally that prospect would annoy me, but here it is largely fun.
The performing chefs always employ a large repertoire of tricks, most you've probably seen before at other Japanese restaurants. Here, the chefs seem a bit more social and outgoing instead of just sticking to a script.
The food is always fresh and heaped on your plate. The shrimp sauce is one of my favorites.
The interior has been largely renovated, and feels new even though the restaurant has been here for a while.
It can get a bit pricey if you let it but you can get also out for under $30.
Perhaps I'm biased, as this is the Japense steakhouse I've been to more than any other, but I always enjoy coming here.
