  • The BEST gumbo in Phoenix! We have lived in the South and this gumbo is as good as the South has to offer. It's a smaller restaurant setup like a bar with stools surrounding the chefs' who prepare meals fresh in front of you. Each and every bowl of gumbo is prepared to your specifications (ie type of meat, fish, poultry, etc; spicy scale 1-10). They are cooked individually in a pot designed specifically for gumbo. Unfortunately, we have never tried anything else because the gumbo is the star of this restaurant. However, that is probably a good thing.
