  • As someone else indicated, I have never had a yelp account but did create an account for this particular review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS URGENT CARE! INCIDENT #1: I was in a car accident and was hit from behind on the freeway. I'm sure that I had whiplash but my insurance company insisted that I get an x-ray of my neck and back to rule out any serious injuries. I called UCE to make sure they did x-rays. They said yes. I had my husband take me to this location as I was told not to drive for at least a week. I filled out all of the proper paperwork in reference to the accident (they had specific paperwork for accident related x-rays). When called back, the PA had read my forms and indicated what he would be doing and x-raying...seemed very competent as to what needed to be done. However, when he went to tell the doctor what he was going to do, the doctor refused to let him do the x-ray. I could hear them talking as they were right outside of the examination room. The PA came back in the room and said that I was going to need to go to the ER. To clarify, I was not unable to walk, move, etc. This was a routine x-ray to rule out serious injury and submit to my insurance company. As the doctor spoke to the PA, he said "we're not getting involved in that". I'm not even sure if, by law, they are able to refuse to x-ray someone...especially when they indicate that they x-ray for injuries and accidents. INCIDENT #2: My son injured his foot playing basketball. I was afraid that it was fractured or even broken. I took him to UCE. They took an x-ray and said he was fine and it was just sprained. They wrapped it up and told him to ice and elevate it for a few days. As it continued to get worse, I took him to an orthopedic. They took an x-ray. The doctor came back in and said..."when you went to UC, did they take an x-ray?". I said "yes, they took the same angle x-ray that you just took". He then said "and they didn't tell you it was broken?" UM..NO..THEY SAID IT WAS FINE! The kid was walking around on a broken foot for days because this UCE is completely incompetent and, obviously, can not read an x-ray. WORD TO THE WISE....THEY DO NOT TREAT AS NECESSARY AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
