Look, going to a Hertz I don't expect much and this place still under-delivers.
I got in a car accident and my insurance company suggested Hertz to get my rental car and made the reservation for me. The first time I went there was on a Saturday thinking they close at 1 pm. I arrive at 11:50 am. There is one customer in there who was just getting done being helped. The lady in the office basically told me to kick rocks because the people in there were her last customers and that they were closed. I ask what time they close, she says 12 pm. I say its 11:50... She still says she can't help me. FINE, WHATEVER. I HATE being that person that keeps staff behind, but most of the Hertz locations hours are only open while I am at work (and I can't go to the airport location bc of the stupid insurance rules for some reason), so it would've def been inconvenient for me to come back without having to leave work early. It would've been nice if the person working there at least pretended to care or tried to be nice about it or at least let me know when they opened again...
I come back on a Monday at 4 PM. There is a ridiculous amount of people waiting and only ONE person working (same person from Saturday). While a customer is sitting at the desk, the phone was constantly ringing and the ONE PERSON working would interrupt who she was helping in person to answer the phone. There was a sign in sheet but nobody was informed about it. So basically, everyone waiting had to keep track of who was next. Luckily everyone was cool about it, but could've ended up being much more messy if not. It ends up taking an HOUR AND A HALF waiting to finally get a rental car. But my entire transaction once it was my turn - probably around 15 minutes.
