| - I guess all these car dealers are the modern day tax collectors- rotten to the core. I talked to someone who recently went through the training from the power dealers in Peoria and basically the training teaches them to ripp off customers and to get the best deal for the dealer- I really dont mind that so much, but the flat out lying and lack of commitment to the sale, thats what gets me. I guess they bring so much money to the political world I doubt anything will change, but these guys are the worst. I bought a truck that had low miles and ran good. It had new off road tires but it kept throwing a code during the test drive. The salesman assured me it would be taken care of. Of course after several hours we closed the deal with the involvement of 3 sales people and 2 management personal One named Kahn. Later I brought the vehicle in to get repaired and they told me it would take about an hour (Pete M) an hour before the shop closes he tells me there are no sensors in the tires and it must be done at the dealer, and my warranty I bought wont cover it because the sensors were never there. They said they could fix it but it would be very expensive. I knew at that point they were going to try and bilk me, so I went to pick up the vehicle. I took the vehicle to Discount Tires and they verified the sensors were there, but couldn't figure out the codes. They acted like a good old fashioned small dealership that would stand by their word, but after the deal closed, they would never answer their phone or return your call. Left several calls to the general manager, sales manager, sales personale, finance manager, no one ever calls you back. The finance manager drug his feet on paying off the vehicle I traded in and that almost cost me too- Again no return call had to go down there to get a pay off statement then they acted like you were the jerk requesting it. So if a scandalous dealership is the goal of the General manager, they are having much success. Ill be following up and posting this to different venues.- REVISED to 3 Stars 6/28 Most of the time when you leave a review on a bad car dealer someone always posts saying give me a call we are concerned but when you call them nothing gets done- this time a manager did call and invite me back with the promise of getting this handled- BIG thanks to Joe Lucero, Service Manager- 24 years in the business, and good morals- Assure me it would be handled whatever the issue. Gave me a loaner, and the next day called me to tell me the issue was resolved- ONE bad tire sensor wow...Im a big boy and understand what as is means- If the tranny blew out the next day Id be kicking rocks but wouldn't be blaming the dealer...(well I might) but darn sure wouldn't expect anything them to do anything..but when someone promises to do something as a stipulation I expect it to be done and expect a man to stand by what he says. I added another small request that was disrespected-and that was to please get a copy of my warranty information, at least a phone number. Pete told me he talked to finance and they didnt have it...really...Most of us know that important sales docs are kept on file for several years, and this deal closed 3 months ago..very petty..Mr. Lucero said he would check it for me and get it to me, so we will see. If I was the owner, Id put Mr. Lucero in charge of the whole store Sales-Finance- Service Departments, he seems to be the only one who knows how to deal with people
