| - worst tire change experience ever.
their auto service mechanics are slow in their job and lack professionalism and patience. worse still, after the wheel change, they damaged three bolts and the wheel hub of my passenger front wheel, making the car unsafe to drive. I had to call CAA, waited in the snow on the first beautiful snowy morning of 2014 for CAA truck to send my car to AUDI dealership. The overall damage is over 1000 and fortunatly, the service department manage agreed to cover it.
here's what happened:
Friday, Nov 14, 2014:
I went to their auto service to have my all season wheels switched over to winter ones. I came in sometime around 12 noon and left the car there . They are finally done sometime around 10:30 pm.
Monday Nov 16, 2014
My valve stem cap was seized on the stem so I went to another garage to have the stems replaced. The mechanics in the other shop took off my wheels and found that 3 out of 5 bolts on my passenger front wheel are cross-threaded. The wheel hub is also damaged because of this. My car is a 1 year old audi q5 and the parts (bolts, wheel hub, etc) are reasonably new. the damage are obviously new, artificial, and are not due to rust or normal corrosion.
I called CAA truck immediately and have my car sent to audi dealership. the reparing is still in progress as I'm writing this review. Total cost is ESTIMATED to be 1000+.

After talking to the service departmnet manager, he agreed to cover the expenses incurred. I guess this is the bright side of this unpleasant experience.
I've read some reviews and commends online about canadian tire's auto service quality and experience. There're some (if not too many) complaints around the internet. I hope I had read these complaints earlier and don't have to learn the lesson the hard way.
I'm not going to recommend canadian tire auto services to anyone I know about.
