When my optometrist friend tells me that Dr. Mallinger is her doctor, I listen. I haven't had a bonafide eye exam since 2005 when I had Lasik (the best money I ever spent), but age has started to rear its ugly head. I'm starting to do that thing where I read a menu and have to hold it away from me--ugh. So, I finally made an appointment and Dr. Mallinger and staff did a thorough job of examining the peepers, complete with the puffs in the eye and the test where you click if you see tiny lights. I didn't have a designated driver so no eye dilation today, but I still have 20/20 vision, so no worries. I did end up ordering some "readers" for all the time I sit in front of the computer, but especially for reading menus--us Yelpers need to see what we're ordering.
