| - We're already planning our next dinner at True Food. Well, actually we'd like to try the Happy Hour next!
We were kindly accommodated outside with our pup. We really appreciated TFK allowing us to have our dog outside, who fared well in the shade provided by the side of the building, the hanging canopies in the alleyway, the umbrella by our table, and the overhead misting.
Adam was our server and he was so genuine and his presence was truly a delight. He answered all of our questions concerning the menu and when we were stuck between dishes, he gave us recommendations that did not disappoint! As it was our first time here, he explained the philosophy and seasonal schedule of the restaurant to us, which is right up our alleys. A changing menu is awesome because it gives incentive to keep you coming back to try more.
We had guacamole as an appetizer which was fresh af on a hot September evening in the Valley. I ordered the chili noodles and my SO ordered some kind of grass-fed burger wrapped in lettuce. After we ate our meal, we didn't feel overly stuffed or uncomfortably filled with heavy food, as meals out often leave us feeling. We felt comfortable, light, and satiated, more than likely due to the fresh ingredients in our dinner. This really makes a difference in our dining experience, and is the main reason we're coming back to experience this place again in the near future.
