| - So this was by far the most amazing hike I've taken to date! I came on yelp to look at the reviews before I went and got psyched out but trust me it's not as scary as it sounds! You will need to stay hydrated, so bring lots of water (if you have unopened water on your way back, be a friend and leave it for upcoming travelers who may not have been prepared!) We're not experienced hikers, and it took us about an hour and a half to two hours to reach the Hot Springs, but oh so with it! If you go about a half mile further, you will reach the Colorado river which is very beautiful as well. I would suggest going the whole way to see it, then coming back to enjoy the hot spring! You can't swallow the water or put your head under because it does have bacterial in it, so please avoid doing so! But it feels amazing to sit in and will be well worth the travel! Save your energy however because you will need more energy going back then you did coming down the mountain for sure! Also, do your best to dry off the bottoms of your shoes when you are climbing the rocks as it will be very slippery! I fell and it was not fun! Lol. Other than that, take your time, stay hydrated, and enjoy!
