| - For you Michigan folks out there who have gone to Wiards, Plymouth Orchards, Dexter and Yates, Eddys is the most comparable you will find in the Cleveland area in terms of the experience and the quality of the cider. Another cider mill down the road is more hyped and the cider is quite a bit more pasteurized which creates a thinner, less rich cider. Eddy's is the real deal. They also feature an enormous variety of apples for picking. The closest second is Beckwith in the Kent area but also very good! The latter two are orchards and not cider mills.
The store is full of pies, cakes, baked goods, caramel apples, jams, gift baskets and of course, cider. The apples are sold by weight. There are workers on site to assist with locating which areas to pick by varietal. On their home page, you will find a harvest schedule of over 35 different varietals. Parking is free. Get there early so you get a good spot. Open til 6 on the weekends.
