| - I like the Sante Fe Casino, and I go there a couple times per week either to go to buffet or to the theater. I took it for granted that casinos were all the same. I then went to Red Rock Casino theater and could not believe the difference in service. It also cost me 3 dollars more for the exact same treats.
Pretty much perfect service at the buffet too. My formal education is in hotel/restaurant and it is a fact that when something is good, it is because of good management. Same goes for bad, meaning that this hotel is fun and friendly, professional and affordable all the time.
With one exception, but it is so minor I won't subtract a star. There must be a less than assertive top manager somewhere in the head of bars. The beer Honker's Ipa at the sports bar never pours right. The bartenders act like it is a fluke, but it is virtually every single time. I drink about one pint per week there, and it has been this way for three years that I know of. Ridiculous, and ridiculous there isn't some meeting management in that field of work at this casino since the pour spout is front and center and they don't offer many draft beers......from a financial standpoint, it is ridiculous that it never works. Maybe this review will spur somebody to wake up and smell the ale.
But with my little escapes to the movies and chow, I can depend on virtually spotless friendly fresh food and service, and so Thank You to the GM since ultimately it is all a reflection on him or her personally. .......... But get with the program and fire the beer keg manager because he or she is asleep in one of your beds somewhere.
But seriously, thanks for the clean air and nice get-away fun spot.
