  • I recently moved here from Los Angeles and was looking for somewhere and someone good to cut my long thick hair. After googling Phoenix and Scottsdale salons I decided to try Mood Swings because I liked their website and profiles they list about their stylists - allowed me to see who will be doing my hair and a little bit about the person (do they have pink hair?, are they conservative looking or more of a rocker type person? how long they have been doing hair etc. I liked that feature so kudos to the owners or whoever thought of that for their website. I called and got a super nice girl named Kailey who helped me pick a stylist between the Tempe and Scottsdale salons. She was extremely helpful and personable even though I could tell she was very busy. She had to call me back twice but she took the time to give me honest advice on a stylist. She is EXACTLY the type of person I would like answering my business phone and advising my customers. Anyway - she booked me with Suzanne at the Scottsdale salon. It was last minute and I ended up being late but Suzanne never acted annoyed or put out. She had a nice consult with me too even though I know she was short on time before her next client. Turns out, Suzanne was a very experienced stylist and she cut my hair beautifully without cutting too much off or chopping in layers that I didn't ask for. Yay! In addition she was pleasant to talk to and very cool. All around a good experience for taking a gamble on a new Salon and Stylist picked from a random internet search!
