All libraries should strive to be like the main branch of Carnegie. It's one of the only libraries where I want to stay a while instead of checking out my book and being on my way.
There's a mix of new and old. They have tons of books! TONS! If you're not used to libraries and you visit this one... before you make the trip you might want to send a text to your favorite people letting them know if they haven't heard from you in a week that you're lost inside this library.
The staff was amazing! I can't tell you how many times I was asked if I needed help finding anything. So many books! I'm curious on how long it would take a person to look through all of these books.. let alone read all of them! They have plenty of music and movies too! Carnegie might have one of the largest selection of comic books that I've ever seen!
Stop falling asleep over there! There's a coffee shop inside of this library. Get your caffeine and keep on reading! Don't worry about losing your seat during a coffee run. This library is so large that there are plenty of rad places to sit in peace.
Almost every other review mentions how this place is beautiful. All of those reviews don't lie. Being in this library can be overwhelming. Walking up to this library can be overwhelming. Don't forget to stop, take a breath, and look around while you're here.
