| - I have been to Delight three times. The first two I picked up pricey but special event chocolate (Easter, Christmas) and it was pretty good, not Soma, but nice.
However, the time I ordered ice cream it was like a joke. The young woman serving us was a combination of reluctant and, er, not proactive, as in barely made eye contact. We ordered chocolate and it took, I'm not kidding, FOUR MINUTES for her to scoop it out. Possibly this was because she was scraping the bottom of the carton, over, and over and over. We kept making eye contact with each other thinking she was going to finish planing the cardboard and get a new container of ice cream to scoop from. Nope-no such luck. We got a scant serving for five dollars and I was frankly shocked there weren't bits of paper in in.
We were stunned and polite enough to pay for it and walk out but when we discussed while eating, which took about a quarter of the time it took her to scoop it, we felt like idiots for not rejecting it and asking her to please serve a normal portion from a new batch.
I have had neighbours go there and be charged something different than was posted, so they'd order what they thought was a small (since the portions are pretty toy-don't go there for volume) and were given and charged for a medium.
Cute place if you're into 'artisan' but I would highly recommend you advocate for yourself by asking questions before you get the the cash register, and be prepared to ask if something doesn't seem right.
