  • this place is the best!! been going for years and enjoy it every time. they have the best salsa ever, good hot sauce and omg the shredded beef, especially in the tacos, is so awesome. refried beans and rice are also so good. try a shredded beef item, the enchiladas, the cheese crisp or stacked enchiladas, just really good. I don't even know what they do differently to the cheese crisp, but man is it good! Don't expect a new age, "healthier" Mexican American food place; expect good, standard AZ-style Mexican food that's easy to crave. the staff is usually friendly, but of course sometimes you get someone a bit cranky (won't say her name). however, overall it is a very laid back, comfortable place to be, with generally friendly employees. yes, the environment is dated, and not the epitome of "fine dining", but they have been around for years. You can order a drink from the bar to your table or sit in the bar area. They make a great Roy Rogers (Cola and cherry grenadine) and the sasparilla is also good. you can't go wrong with a rositas shredded beef taco and salsa n chips; even on their worst day. so give them a try!
