| - Had a pretty poor experience at City Hall after a series of increasingly frustrating visits and probably won't be back any time soon. The meal our group had was uniformly just OK, which doesn't match the prices. My filet, which I ordered rare, was thin and poorly cut, and poorly cooked. The filet was roughly one inch thick which makes it impossible to properly cook it rare. I was expecting a thick, center cut steak with a red, cool center. What I got was a chewy thin patty of a steak with a pink center. I immediately pointed this out to the server and the response was along the lines of "what do you want me to do about it?" A surprising response to a place that brags about its meats, butcher, and preparation. And a place that charges $51 for the pleasure. I know this is getting quite particular, but for a high end place they should know better--I'd expect this from the Outback, but not from Mastros.
On the positive side, it has a lively atmosphere for a steakhouse. Decent service in general although my repeated complaints were never addressed by anyone, much less taken off the very large bill.
