  • I can see good and bad about this hotel. We chose it because it was close to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and a short drive to Hudson to get meals and poke around. I loved the sprawling layout of the hotel and the front desk and restaurant employees were pleasant and helpful. Dinner from the lounge was delicious and the free continental breakfast was pretty good, but wish they would offer a non pork protein. Unfortunately the room was pretty dirty, the furniture in abysmal shape. A handle was off a dresser and tossed in the drawer. I could have screwed it back on, but chose not to. And a nasty looking hunk of sharp metal frame was protruding from the corner of the sofa arm. VERY dangerous looking. We never need to have the room cleaned while we are there, we're happy to use the same sheets and tidy up after ourselves. But the housekeeper almost seemed perturbed when we let her know that we did not need our room cleaned while we were there. A smile or glimmer of recognition would have been nice. Left a tip anyway, as I cleaned rooms for many years in my youth and know what a miserable job it can be. Tip your housekeepers!
