| - I live in the area and bike by it every day, so I stopped in to see what kind of house plants I could get to garnish my room a little bit.
Initial thoughts: someone else had critiqued that there were only 25 parking spaces. I came in on a weekend, and that seems like more than enough unless a horde of people comes in on Mother's Day or something. It's got a good location on Winston Churchill, but it's not super attention-grabbing, nor is it in a chain mall with anything else, so I don't think parking will be a big issue save for a few days when people need last minute flower arrangements. If it happens to be jammed for some reason, park at Longo's a block down and walk up.
In the business: nice, clean-cut, similar to other nurseries. Good selection of outdoor plants and annuals. The indoor section has everything you would consider to be standard for houseplants. Spider plants, Dracaena, Pothos / Philodendron, Bromeliads, Orchids, Dieffenbachia, Ivy, etc. I was trying to decide between the succulents and more tropical plants; to me the succulents are kinda pricey ($5-6 per), but understandably they're not as readily available as my native California. Selection is okay; lot of smaller stuff for putting together in a pot (small aloes, Echeveria, stonecrops, etc.). The tropical houseplants are really well priced - $2 for a 2" and $3 for a 4" plant. The plants are pretty healthy too; no insect holes or shriveled leaf masses.
