Came to Whittamore's five times - the earliest time was when I was three years old, and the last time I have been back was during summer time. Yupp, that's a few decades apart, and Whittamore's is still a well functioning farm!
I came to pick strawberries - they were a lot smaller than expected probably because we came towards to the end of the season. Prices are not cheap, but if you consider that you are going for entertainment purposes, it's a pretty fair price.
The prices for 2015 season was:
Strawberries: $2.50/Lb
Raspberries: $3.75/Lb
Green Peas: $2.50/Lb
Snow Peas: $2.50/Lb
Sugar Snap Peas: $2.50/Lb
Green & Yellow Bean: $2.50/Lb
Beets: $2.50/Lb
New Potatoes: $1.25/Lb
I would recommend going earlier in the season to pick strawberries. Their peas are usually very long and fat, I like picking the peas more than strawberries.
There's a farm shop to purchase picked products and fresh baked produce such as delicious apple pies. You can enter the fun farms and host birthday parties here as well!
