I was introduced to Scottsdale Quarter by way of Taste of the Town, which holds their annual MDA fundraiser here. It proved to be an excellent venue for an upscale evening full of food, drink, music and dancing, and some silent auction bidding. The outdoor area is ideal for the Arizona fall weather, though I'm not sure I would do much window shopping during the day in the summer.
Once I got my directionally-challenged brain wrapped around the parking garage orientation of SQ, I feel pretty good about leaving my car and being able to find my way around. Tanzy/iPic has since become my most frequented destination, but there are several great restaurants and enough shops to keep you busy. Paper Source makes the crafter in me giddy, and I like to window shop Lululemon.
If you can avoid the occasional snobbery that comes along with some of the clientele of upscale Scottsdale destinations, this shopping center offers a little bit of everything, and has enough unique businesses to keep me coming back.
