UPDATE:
In response to Steven T. of Crucial Computers:
1. I of course read my motherboard manual. That's why I requested DDR RAM rated at 1333. It was assured in your store that the higher rated RAM would work.
2. Yes I did request "50 dollar" RAM because that's how much the type of RAM I was looking for was on NewEgg. I don't see any problem with comparison shopping. You DID offer to haggle with me on the RAM. That was great but who cares what kind of discount you gave me when the RAM doesn't work?
3. When I came to return it you told me something along the lines of "If you determined that RAM was defective and it was unopened we could maybe do something." How many people are capable of determining their RAM is defective before opening it? That sounds very much like a policy meant to reduce the amount of returns that you will actually allow.
Most of these facts are neither here nor there. Upgrading older computers is a tricky business- that's why I choose to purchase my parts local for easy returns. The fact of the matter is it's ridiculous that Crucial Computers refused a return of RAM only 6 business days after they pushed it on me, without making me aware of any return policies. At the very least I've certainly experienced better.
