| - Disappointing! First of all, their claim-to-fame is HUGE portions. If you want a plate of food that will serve a family of four, this is your place. Do not go there unless you are mega-hungry.
A friend and I went for "linner," late lunch/early dinner. I wasn't famished, so had the "tractor driver's breakfast:" 2 eggs, 2 sausages and a waffle. No biscuit, no hasbrowns, just eggs, sausage and waffle. $12.99. The sausages were delicious. The waffle was large, but nothing special. The eggs were tiny. Two of them equaled one regular sized egg. Maybe they were pigeon eggs or something.
My friend wanted a hamburger, but all their burgers are "double"" 2 meat patties with stuff in between -- mushrooms, onion, cheese... Again, if you want to eat so much that you are uncomfortable for the next 8 hours, this is your place. She ordered the one single burger -- I think the "baby burger". $11.99. She said it was alright -- nothing special.
We both had coffee ($3). So the bill came to nearly $33 for a very ordinary meal. With tip, nearly $40. Coulda got the same thing at Denny's for half that and would've been happy.
IF you go, order one of their signature plates (sage chicken, etc.) and be prepared to take 1/2 home. If you go on a weekend, you will wait a long time to be seated; it will be LOUD. Music blares. Conversation is not possible. This is my third and last visit. (Just say I believe in second and third chances. Or maybe I'm just a slow learner.)
With all the good quality restaurants in Las Vegas, I do not recommend this place except as a "one-time experience" so you can waddle away saying "I'm never going to eat again! I never saw so much food on one plate in my life!" Not worth it -- really.
