We were there on Sat April 23rd around early evening. At first we just wanted to have dessert and sit down after walking around Kensington Market. But then we decided to play Cards Against Humanity.
The staff were very helpful once you flag them down. And suggested a 2 player game called Dirty Minds since there were only 2 of us. But the supervisor thought of a way we could play Cards Against Humanity just the two of us - and it worked! And was a lot of fun! The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They also sell
Games here for purchase. Not sure if they sell Cards Against Humanity- I forgot to ask.
It is $2.50/person when you play a game and there didn't seem to be a time limit. You can also choose to have dessert and a beverage and not play a game (and they won't charge you the game fee).
We ordered the waffle with ice cream (vanilla only flavour) and chocolate sauce. It was good but not memorable. It was standardly over-priced for what it was but that's downtown for you. It could have used fresh fruit or a better chocolate sauce. But between the 2 of us we did finish it so perhaps I'm being too critical. They also had an assortment of cookies and cheesecake in terms of dessert.
They also have a back area with more seating. But we sat in the front as it was more lively.
I would recommend checking it out.
