The restaurant looked promising enough to be a authentic Vietnamese restaurant, but at last I will have to pass on this restaurant from now on; because its just not up to my Vietnamese food standards.
The traditional/everything-included-in-it pho was decent; if you drown it in the hoisin sauce and sriracha, otherwise the broth contains an overwhelming scent of cinnamon and star anise.
The bun bo hue was the biggest disappointment thou. I'm was looking for a restaurant that can make my all time favorite soup in each city that I go to. This one looked so good and the meats included were tasty and cooked correctly. BUT what was suppose to be a rich spicy heavenly broth...tasted more like a cube of chicken bouillon in hot water with some chili oil. Tasty, if you were looking for a spicy chicken noodle soup with pork stuff in it.
So sad. Oh well, my search will go on for a good Vietnamese restaurant I can adore.
