  • The bakery department employees are completely inept. I ordered cupcakes 2 days early for a child's birthday party (they require 24 hours notice, so I erred on the side of caution and gave 48 hours notice). It was a simple request - half vanilla, half chocolate with white whipped icing to avoid any dye staining the children's clothes. I went to pick up the order at the specified time and had blue, red, pink, and purple cupcakes! I asked for a manager and this kid comes up and says he's a store manager (and later reveals he isn't) and simply says "sorry." I request that someone fix them since I have all these children expecting cupcakes, he makes excuses, and eventually finds someone. Now comes the woman who originally took my order. She says it will take her a few minutes to fix and she'll have them out. When she brings out the order I notice it still doesn't look like I requested, so I clarified "this is whipped icing correct?" Her response "yes, I made them myself, it is." Against my better judgment, I trusted she knew what she was doing and left the store 40 minutes later with the cupcakes that took me 30 minutes to order 2 days prior. Served the cupcakes...and of course, they were buttercream. Save your patience, save your time, go anywhere other than this store.
