  • So the update is that my dog died. Would it have made a difference if she got more immediate treatment? Only God knows. But I know that the time it took to get her on oxygen and onto the drugs that she needed - that extra time- made it more likely that she would die. But at least the veterinarians here got to go home on time. So there is that. Look, all the "good" reviews of this place are of people who were fine with putting their pets to their deaths. I don't stand in judgement of those people. I understand that not everyone is going to go the distance for a few more months or a couple of years with a dog or a cat. But I will and would have done ANYTHING to save my dog. It's not unselfish - it's fairly selfish. I am broken without her. Broken beyond comprehension. But anyway, this ER opts for euthanasia rather than the extra steps that it takes to get a few extra months or years out of a pet's life. I just think that people should be aware of this. I am not judging or recommending anything - just stating the fact. If you will opt for killing your dog or cat at the first sign of difficulty and thousand dollar vet bills, then this is the ER for you. If you want to do anything you can to save your best friend, then there is a better place.
