  • RE-posting this since it seemed to disappear the first time... Unfortunately, 1 star is as low as I can go on this one. Where to start? I'm new to the area and so don't know all the good garage mechanics around, so I defaulted to Goodyear, figuring for a great Corporate name backing this place...wrong assumption. So, being the responsible truck owner that I am, and knowing enough about working on cars to know that some of the painful maintenance is really necessary, I took my truck in to Goodyear for all new fluids. I paid about $450 for oil change, transmission service, front and rear differential service, and transfer case service. Never had an issue with the truck, it's a 2006 and has been pampered since bought new. Four days go by and I notice a decent amount of leaking under the truck, so I take it back to Cliff and the gang at Goodyear. I'm promptly assured it's nothing they could have done...THEN they take it back to look at it, and of course confirm their initial foresight. I ask them how in the world there could be this much fluid under here if it was pre-existing? Wouldn't any mechanic worth his salt tell me of issues all around where he's working? Was the fluid leaking as he filled it? Anyways, they clean it up and tell me that it could have just been overfilled fluids. I ask them to note where it's leaking...and the prognosis wasn't great. Fast-forward 4 weeks of me seeing drips and waiting for them to stop (I drive about 10 miles a day, so wasn't worried about any rapid fluid dumps). I take a 25 mile drive this weekend and see smoke coming from under my truck and decide to pay Cliff and guys a third visit. Four hours after I drop off the truck, I get a call from Cliff himself assuring me it's nothing he's done...but he's willing to pay for labor if I pay for parts to fix the problem. It almost sounds appealing until I ask for the price and he tells me parts are another $150. I decline, tell him I'll get an estimate from the Nissan dealer themselves. In the meantime I call Goodyear corporate and am told that "it sure was nice of him to offer to pay for the labor, but we generally take the word of our managers on these things..." Goodyear, I've used you in the past more times than I can count (service records and tires to prove it), but apparently your AZ operations, and corporate customer service aren't up to par with the CA operations, very disappointing experience all around.
