| - Mediocre service and cleanliness lands Yuki Shaved Snow with a 2.5 star rating. "Meh. I've experienced better." is exactly what I was feeling when I left the shop, but I feel like 2 stars would be a bit too harsh.
Service: 1.5/5
We didn't receive a warm welcome or any real help with our selection. "What's your favorite flavor here?" was replied with, "Whatever you usually like to eat." and then silence. Once we chose our selection, the lady was quick to make them.
Food: 4/5
The shaved ice itself was decent. I had taro shaved ice and my date had a strawberry ice cream stuffed doughnut. The doughnut was nice and warm and the ice cream was cold and delicious. There were a few questionable marks on the doughnut... But we ate around it and still enjoyed the flavors and different textures.
Location: 2/5
There were a few seating options on the inside, but it didn't feel like we were really welcomed, so we sat outside. (plus, the floor felt a little sticky and there was an annoying gnat flying around.) But with all that said, we still caught a nice sunset as we ate our desserts, so that was a plus.
Verdict: 2.5/5
If you're just passing by to grab some dessert and then bolt, then this place is fine. Grab that shaved ice and go someplace beautiful with a friend or lover. If you're wanting a cute and friendly environment to sit and chat, do not expect to leave happy. On a sweeter note, the shaved ice and stuffed doughnut were both exceptional :)
